Good morning everybody.  Today I found an article published at www.tapinto.net written by Mindy Scarlett  about how the TriCounty Chamber of Commerce helped one of their members, Sparkle Floors and Carpet, celebrate the opening of their store at 451 Park Avenue in Scotch Plains on Thursday evening.

Scotch Plains Mayor Kevin Glover officiated the ribbon cutting, and welcomed Sparkle Floors and Carpet to Scotch Plains.  “We are very happy that you chose our town to open your store – and we are here to help in any way that we can.”

TriCounty President Miguel Carvalho from Investors Bank was also on hand to help with the celebration.  “We are very happy that one of our members is growing so much that he needs to open a storefront.  Networking can be a very powerful thing.”

“I’m really excited to be here in Scotch Plains,” said owner Peter DeLeon.  “I have been a contractor in the area for nearly 20 years and opening this store means I can really offer a complete array of services to my clients for all of their flooring needs.”

 “We started out as floor refinisher and we will still offer that service,” said DeLeon.  “However, we can now handle any request from a client, from refinishing floors to all new flooring of any type.”

DeLeon will also be working with interior designers and other contractors.  “I encourage them to see my store as a showroom where their clients can see the possibilities on what they can put down on the floors in their home.”

Local residents are invited to come in and browse the many samples of hard wood, engineered wood, vinyl, bamboo and a whole library of different types of carpet.
