A mother of three who resides in Post Falls Idaho is literally battling for her life after being diagnosed with a rare cancer. She experienced an odd side effect of her treatment, which she believes left her suffering from severe allergies triggered by her carpet. The family removed the carpet and planned to replace it; though these plans have failed. Their home is now down to the sub floor. With almost all of their savings spent on treatment, there is not a lot left for the flooring. Raising a family of her own is not easy. Imagine having to deal with being a mother, a wife, a cook, a designated tutor, a sports practice chauffeur and a cancer patient.

The cancer is a rare form of atypical spinal meningioma. Chemotherapy and radiation treatments have not only been ineffective; they've also had unwelcome side effects such as nausea, exhaustion and severe allergies; she believes. Imagine having an allergic reaction to the flooring in your home, according to the doctors; who surmised this after learning that the red rash formed on her leg, when sitting on the carpet. She attempted to remove the flooring all on her own. Though, she said that her eyes were swollen shut. Fortunately, family and friends offered assistance removing all of the carpet. The plan is to replace the carpet with bamboo flooring.

The budget is tight. Treatments have been ineffective. She decided to experiment with non-conventional and expensive methods, which are not covered by her health insurance.
