New Directions in Bamboo Flooring

Flooring Brief (Blog Article)

Members (and Visitors):

Hi everybody.  During my web search, I found a news item, recently published at livingreen.com, about  new directions in bamboo flooring.  This news item, written by their staff, informs readers that certain materials for the home ebb and flow with popularity.  One such material is bamboo flooring.  Bamboo’s great appeal was that it was classified as a grass with a rapid growth cycle and could be harvested within five to ten years.  Another advantage was seen with the lamination process whereby the flooring could be manufactured with hardly a trace of formaldehyde or none at all.

Initially the choices were slim with two colors, natural or amber and two styles, a flat grain or an end grain cut.  The manufacturing of the flooring saw a fair amount of waste, and from this the bamboo flooring makers took whatever was left over and fashioned a new look known as Bamboo Strand.  By compressing the scraps, this new flooring was now considerably tougher and presented more possibilities.  This new look came in a honey color known as Sahara Strand and a darker color known as Havana Strand.  And marrying the Sahara Strand with the Havana Strand produced a tiger stripped  Neopolitan Strand.  The debut of strand changed the dynamics of bamboo flooring greatly.  Bamboo Strand Flooring has  become very popular as well as practical for the home.

Another innovation in bamboo flooring came with the an amazing process of fitting the end cuts together from the flooring, thus creating an amazing surface aptly known as Bamboo Squared.  This look has been described as an architectural look for bamboo, precise and clean.

And still another innovation with Bamboo Strand was yet to come with the advent of the Stiletto Line.  Stiletto’s brushed surface and six proprietary stains and finishes put bamboo flooring into a new dimension as a staple in the flooring industry.

If Bamboo might sound of interest, visit Livingreen where we would be happy to show you the various types of flooring and veneers available.  You can sign out large samples to try at home and we are always happy to provide you with an estimate.  Otherwise if you cannot make it to the store, write me at robyn@livingreen.com and I will see if we have a small sample we can send you for a nominal charge, according to the news item.  More at livingreen.com.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Yokel

Most media planners aren't unlikely to consider Floor Covering Media for the schedule particularly with flooring clients. It is a natural fit or would seem so.

During the course of the media plan, it isn't incredibly uncommon for the media planners to request specific pages. The Flooring Briefs page is one of the most commonly requested pages.

It's appealing to seasoned media planners. It's not a challenge to present even as an experiment to the client. There are a diversity of headlines over time each of which appeals to a broad range of interests within this niche industry. It is also affordably priced not to break the bank.
